Trip Overview
We meet on day one and pack your gear into a waterproof bag. After introducing you to the guides and going over the gear we carry we participate in a thorough safety presentation. Then, we embark on the trip. Each day you will try your hand at fishing and enjoy the solitude of the Wild and Scenic Rogue river limited entry area. All of our Rogue river fishing vacations are designed for two guests and your guide in each modern aluminum drift boat. Arrangements can be made to include up to 12 people in six boats. We provide at no extra cost all fishing gear and tackle; however, you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Fishing License and Tackle
An Oregon fishing license and salmon steelhead tag are needed for the number of days you plan to fish. All of our experienced and personable guides are equipped with tackle for various methods of fishing, depending upon water conditions and the cooperation of the fish. We do cater to many die hard fly fishermen throughout our season.

Steelhead and Salmon
Most of the steelhead you catch during these Rogue fishing trips are 14 to 19 inches with an occasional "big one". A large steelhead in the fall will be six to eight pounds. We catch Chinook salmon up to 40 pounds and Silver salmon up to 12 pounds.

Overnight Accommodations and Meals
On your Rogue river salmon and steelhead fishing vacation each evening finds you in a different lodge with hot sanitary showers and a comfortable bed. River lodges are rustic in decor with two people per room in motel type accommodations. Your meals, sheets and towels are supplied by the lodges. The meals are served family style but the lodges cannot serve liquor, so bring your own if you enjoy a cocktail. Your lunch while on the river will be served by your guide in a buffet style that usually includes salads, roast beef, turkey or ham and freshly caught salmon or steelhead grilled to perfection. We do supply punch type beverages with a minimal amount of canned pop and beer.

Packing for Your Trip
When packing for the Rogue river fishing trip please pack the items needed for the river trip separate from the items needed for travel before or after the river trip. We can store the excess bags not needed for the river trip. Please pack no more than approximately 15 pounds per person for the river trip. All itrems will be packed into water proof duffel bags at the river. We cannot predict the weather at this time of year, but if by chance we get unexpected rain, your rain gear can be your best friend.

Gear List
Be sure to bring a set of good durable rain gear, fishing license, two changes of clothes, a warm coat, hat, sunglasses, flashlight, personal kit, dry shoes for the lodges and rubber boots or water repellent boots for the boat. No hip boots or wadders please. Please pack in a nylon athletic or duffel bag. If you are on medication please be sure to bring it with you! Optional gear includes camera, film, breakdown fishing gear, hard liquor, and pop or beer (limit one case canned beverage per person). Use plastic bottles or cans -- No Glass! Do not bring guns, fireworks, pets, suitcase or hair dryers. If you are interested in purchasing some fishing tackle consider: Hagen's for wholesale fishing tackle components, rods, and more.
